Code of Conduct

Empire State FC exists to develop confident, disciplined, and respectful players in a positive learning environment. This Code of Conduct outlines the standards of behavior expected from all players and families participating in the program.

Players are expected to:

• Arrive on time, prepared, and ready to train or compete
• Show respect to coaches, teammates, opponents, and officials
• Demonstrate consistent effort, focus, and a positive attitude
• Follow coach instructions and program guidelines
• Display good sportsmanship in both training and competition
• Take responsibility for their behavior and development

Disruptive behavior, repeated lack of effort, or actions that negatively affect the learning environment may result in corrective action.

Parents and guardians are expected to:

• Support a positive, respectful environment for all players
• Allow coaches to coach without interference during sessions and games
• Communicate questions or concerns respectfully and at appropriate times
• Refrain from negative comments toward players, coaches, officials, or opponents
• Model appropriate behavior on the sidelines and off the field

Coaching decisions regarding training structure, game placement, and competition are the responsibility of the coaching staff.

Open and respectful communication is encouraged.

• Concerns should be addressed directly with coaching staff outside of training or competition times
• Players are encouraged to advocate for themselves respectfully as they mature
• Public confrontations, sideline coaching, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated

Empire State FC expects all participants to uphold the highest standards of sportsmanship.This includes:

• Respecting officials’ decisions
• Treating opponents with fairness and respect
• Representing EDPL positively at all events

Unsportsmanlike behavior by players or parents may result in disciplinary action.

Failure to adhere to this Code of Conduct may result in:

• Verbal warning
• Temporary removal from a session or game
• Suspension from training or competition
• Removal from the program in severe or repeated cases

Disciplinary decisions are made at the discretion of Empire State FC leadership and coaching staff.
